Overseas Shipment of Sport Fish

St. Jean's Cannery ships to customers all over the world. However many countries have put up "Trade Barriers" to fisherman returning with their catch. This can cause some difficulties with customs. St. Jeans can provide CFIA Health Certificates (Phytosanitary) when shipping outside Canada and the USA.

Countries that We Ship to & Angler Requirements for Customs

We can ship to the following Countries with no documentation. We do however need a photo copy of your fishing licence: Canada, USA, Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore and Japan.

European and Overseas Customers Important Notice:
Photo copies of fishing license required and we will have to apply for a health certificate from the Canadian Government.

We cannot ship via MAIL to Mexico, Africa or South America. Customers will need to arrange pickup at an International Airport.\

Requirements & Process

Switzerland

Switzerland shipments are sent to Zurich, cleared with customs and then couriered to the customer.

What we need:

  1. Photo copy of fishing license;
    - send clean copy with fish or fax copy to St. Jeans 250-754-2186
  2. Fish will be delivered to the delivery address you provide on the St. Jeans processing receipt.
  3. Customers email address;
    - St. Jeans requires your email address or a contact email address.
    - Please print clearly

European Union

EU shipments are sent to Frankfurt, Germany and cleared with customs; then couriered to the customer.

St. Jean's will collect 15-20 orders (min 1000lbs) and airship them to Frankfurt. They will be cleared through customs by St. Jean's agents and then overnight shipped to the customer's place of business. The rate we charge for shipping will include cost of certificate, freight from Vancouver to the customer's business office, import and handling fees. The cost for this will be approximately $8.95/lb on outgoing weight, plus our packaging and handling fee.

Australia

What we need:
  1. Photo copy of fishing license;

  2. Import Permit from AQIS - customer must obtain this from Australian Quarantine & Inspection Service;

    - Must be picked up by customer
  4. Customer must clear shipment with customs;

New Zealand

What we need:
  1. Photo copy of fishing license;
    - send clean copy with fish or fax copy to St. Jeans 250-754-2186
  2. Import Permit from Biosecurity New Zealand - customer must obtain this from Biosecurity New Zealand;

We have experienced product "gone missing" to the following areas: Africa, Mexico and South American Countries. Customers from these areas should call St. Jeans to discuss your options. In all cases St. Jean's will call the customer prior to shipping.
